Our Values

KNOWING CHRIST INTIMATELY

The one great pursuit of the Christian life is the treasuring of Jesus Christ above all other things.  He is the way, the truth and the life.  To this end we study God’s Word and to this end we strive to apply the gospel deeply in our everyday lives.

STUDY OF GOD'S WORD

The Scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation, put us in touch with the one, living and true God.  It is in the study of the Bible that we come to know Him, trust Him, enjoy Him, and treasure Him more than anything else.

APPLYING THE GOSPEL TO OUR SIN

We all come to God and His Word as women still infected with sin.  In repentance we apply the gospel deeply by acknowledging the full weight of our sin, the staggering cost Jesus paid on the cross for it, and without excuse we accept our guilt before a Holy God.  From there we lay hold of God’s great gospel in Jesus.  We grab tightly to His promises of forgiveness and His power to change.  In repentance and faith we are changed deep within, first in heart and mind and then in behavior.

APPLYING THE GOSPEL TO OUR SUFFERING

We all come to God and his word as women who are broken, wounded,
and limited by unchangeable circumstances and unwanted suffering.  Applying the gospel deeply in our lives, we remember our identity is in Christ--we are fully known and fully loved by him.  We were created to delight in him and serve him in a way unique to each of us.
The hope of the gospel means we can entrust our weaknesses and scars to our Heavenly Father, confident that he redeems all things
and bends even our suffering to his great and loving purposes.

UNITY IN CHRIST

In the face of theological and denominational disputes, we strive for unity with our brothers and sisters in Christ across all boundaries of age, race, economics, and denominations.  We love and serve one another while holding an uncompromising belief in the historic essentials of the
Christian faith.

AUTHENTICITY

Struggling to follow after God is a journey that encompasses both
success and failure.  Our hope is that you are willing to be honest and transparent as you share the realities of this journey in your life.
